Welcome

Hello readers!

I am a Dutch blogger named Zaima. Nice to meet you!
Currently I am doing my bachelors in International business and Management and am (almost) in my fourth year. Yeah, I know what you are thinking... I have to write my thesis in 6 months.
I love fashion and everything about it. I love to write and share my opinions with people, I love books and I love to study! Seriously, I love my current study and it is one of the best things ever happened to me.

You might be thinking why I blog in English while I live in the Netherlands?
Quite simple, because Dutch people understand English but vice versa, nahh does not work.

My blog is quite versatile and contains of articles to reviews written by me.

I would say, Enjoy your stay!

You are Lucky! But.. Wait a second!

"Well here it comes.. Hold your breath, but not too long.. Because.. you won the lottery of Ten million euros!!!" WOEHOE! Hold on, hold on, come back to reality and step out of your dream.
So, how many times does that happen? You, winning such a lottery? Did it ever happen to you? Not to me atleast. Well, I once won the Umrah (pilgrimage to Mecca) ticket (which is worth more than any amount provided by any lottery). Secretly you do await the moment of winning that big amount because having such an amount of money will make your life on earth luxurious. You can finally buy a house, instead of that crappy flat you pay monthly 500 euros for and that Porsche Cayenne which you saw driving through the streets of Broadway, finally building up my status. "My life is COM-PLETE" you think. But what next? Well let me wake u up. First of all, you will not get chosen for that "Ten million euros". I know you are thinking "Excuse me? How do you know that?". Well, because its Money provided by People and People dont give Free money, well I assume you have to do a lot for it to get the chance, right?. And secondly; "No, WOE HOE'Z".
You are not chosen, that means back to work and school and get back to routine. What a pity isn't it? How materialized we became. We call our flat of 500 euros crappy and forget those people who have no shelter. We forget to look at those who are living with less and still thankful to the one who provided us with everything. He gives us a chance everytime, but we neglect. We forget this lottery, the real and never ending lottery. I have seen a lot happening to people which caused changes in their lives. Some people got chosen, by taking back something precious from them, either it be their most dear one or everything they had. Or you might get chosen through your marriage, because a soulmate who is following the right path is likely to help you walk side by side. This narration is to let you think for a moment about the importance when selecting your soulmate:

It was narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayrah  that the Prophet,  said: “A woman is married for four (reasons): her wealth, noble ancestry, beauty and religion. Choose the religious woman lest your hand is stuck to dust (because of destitution).” [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]

I see it as a way that God opens a path for you to come closer to him, to remember him and ask for forgiveness.

"Not upon you, [O Muhammad], is [responsibility for] their guidance, but Allah guides whom He wills. And whatever good you [believers] spend is for yourselves, and you do not spend except seeking the countenance of Allah . And whatever you spend of good - it will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged." 2:272 - Surat Al-Baqarah (the cow)

"And Allah invites to the Home of Peace and guides whom He wills to a straight path." 10:25 - Surat Yunus

Some people are extremely happy in their lives because nothing happend to them, nothing is taken away from them (ofcourse we do not wish anything bad to happen to anyone) but there still are people, whome are not connected to the creator or have any interest. But, they are extemely happy or they think they are. They don't have the feeling that they need anyone as they already have everything.

At the end, who is the real lucky one? You, with everything but no connection or believe or You, with less or no luxury but a connection with God and the feeling you have won the real lottery because You got chosen and invited to the right path. We should not forget that the most important matter on earth is if God is satisfied with us. He might take something back from us in order to bring us closer to him, because we remember him when we feel lonely and after human abandon us, that is the moment we see light. Eventhough we should always remember him, he never forgets us. So, do not feel abandoned or sad but feel lucky, because he knows the best, he is all knowing.

This is my second article, as I love writing and sharing whatever travels through my mind which is worth sharing ofcourse. I am not a scholar or scientist or whatever, I just believe that every person should spread its word to let people think about something different than their work, just for a minute, in this busy life where people try to improve the society by improving science only and not improving humanity where still people don't have the sense of talking or wishing well to eachother.

Freedom of expression; does it excist?

Freedom of expression; does it excist?

I know less to nothing about politics. I see myself more as a thinker and observer. Thinking about why we should be very careful when expressing our opinions and observing what the consequences could be from the other side.
Recently we saw the incident about the 15 year old Malala Yousafzai, she got shot either because she wanted to kill illiteracy among girls in her village or because she mentioned, the US president, Obama as her rolemodel. We do not know what the exact reason could have been of her being shot but we do know how much this news got spread around the world and how people were praying for her to recover soon. They all condemned the attack on her by Taliban.

But, if I now turn the situation and see myself as Malala Yousafzai and express my opinion on one of the social network website, what will or might be the consequence for me? I might not get killed, as I live in the Netherlands where we have the right to express our opinion, but what else could happen? There is a consequence that I might get fired from my job if they come to know about my opinion on the bombing in Gaza or Obama being re- elected.
Now if we go back to Malala Yousafzai, she might have been shot because she was a danger for Taliban, they might have seen her as a threat for spreading the wrong message to young girls and letting them hate Taliban and love Obama.
Do you see any difference between both the situations? I don't. In both situations there is a fear surrounding us. At one situation we have the fear to get shot and at the other we have the fear to get fired. The company I (we) work for could see us as a danger, because we think on a certain way about a certain situation.
The message which I am trying to give and what I have learned after so many years is that there does not exist anything such as "Freedom of expression". Try it at your school, tell any of your lecturers what you dont like about them and see if they will behave at the same way as they did before. Even with close friends, families. We ourselves might behave differently.
